Fuel Filter Replacement

Hi guys,
I'm new here and need some help. I've searched the archives on this subject, but didn't find anything. The question is, where is the fuel filter located on the 2000 VW Jetta VR6? This is my daughter's car and it is running rough at idle (50k miles). I've changed the plugs (over $90, ouch), but that didn't fix it. I want to replace the fuel filter and air filter before changing the oxygen sensor. Thanks in advance.
