I need everyones opinion

Ok here is the deal.

What do you guys think. I want an engine where i only need to put bolt on mods. No mods with much tunning.
I want an engine that can beat like altimasv6, mustangs, maximas, and cars of that nature.

Okay what do you people think would be the best to get.

1. b16a (I found this really good sit www.osakajdmmotors.com and they are selling a compleate changeover with everything for $1050 + 200 s/h

Do you guys think i should just go b16 or try to mod up my d15b2 with mpfi???

Remember i dont want to put put on like a turbo that needs to be tuned and requires custom parts or anything.
My budget is 1400 which is enought to cover everything for b16 or what do you guys think i should do
Thanks
Andrew

If you don't want to do much engine modding other than bolt on's, and you have the money for the b16 go for it. It's a good engine that's quick out of the box. Personally I am going to put in a z6 and turbo it , but that's cause I'm a poor ass college kid and can't afford a B series swap, and with a z6 and turbo I can piece it together over time and have a car that is comparable to a B-series swap.

Re: I need everyones opinion

Well thats what i thought but well im a poor ass high schooler who doesnt want to get to far over his head with tuning. And besides andres mom is buying it for his birthday and christmas gift.
lol
Oh well thats what i thought.
Thanks

Oh buy the way i live in a richer neighbor hood. And there are like 10 of us that the cars are cheaper. Well anyway What kinds of more expensive cars do you guys think ill be able to beat with a b16 installed??? Like altimas, benz, bmws, vws, nissans, etc. Thanks Again

You just answered your own question.

Don't worry, your ghetto racer will be quicker than most rich kids-daddys cars.

why not just save up and go with something bigger, like an ls, gsr, or b20. alot of people always say b16s because they come stock with 160 hp but still with some decent cams and bolt ons the bigger displacement engines have more potential.

Re: I need everyones opinion

I always say B16 because owing 4th gens we're about the only people who can utilize the goodness of a non-OBD B16, and you can pick them up for really cheap complete.
If we drove 5th gens, I wouldn't preach the B16 as much at all because OBD equipped B16As really aren't too different in price as other good motors (like a B20, or B18B).. BUT, we can use the old B16s, so why not save some money and get an oldie?
