Hate being lonely

Sorry if this is a repost of any sorts in the stress release world, but I just need to get this crap off my chest somehow...

I AM fortunate to have family and friends with the upcoming holidays. However, as the holidays get closer and closer, I feel more and more lonely cuz I'm not gonna get to spend them with someone special (e.g., girlfriend, significant other, etc). Last year, my girlfriend and I broke up right before Christmas, and it looks like I'm gonna spend this one alone as well. They say when you stop looking, you end up finding the right person, well... whoever says this... prove it! I sure as hell haven't found the right person... I'm wondering if she even exists. Anyone else out there feel my pain (especially over the holidays)?

I konw how ya feel man. Being alone sucks. Even though I have lots of friends and a great family theres still that big void in my life. I just try not to think about it though, if I did I would be a wreck. I know theres that girl out there for me I just havent met her yet.

Thanks dude; it helps to hear there are others out there that feel the same way. Everyone keeps telling me I'll meet that right someone out there one day... I just turned 26, and although I know I'm still young, I'm worried time's gonna eventually run out and I ain't gonna find that "right one". I guess we just gotta take it one day at a time.

By the way, your "Avatar" (<-- or whatever it's called - that pic of 2Pac) is sweet dude. 2Pac is by far my favorite rapper; I'd like to see that Resurrection movie coming out soon... I've downloaded the soundtrack already.

When they say about stopping looking and the right person will come along, they don't mean it's instantaneous, it may take months or even years.

I hate to say this but stop focusing on yourself, try looking at other people and helping them instead of sitting wondering why you're alone.

Enjoy the company of your friends and family while you can, there will come a time you won't have as much time to spend with them as you do now.

Trust me dude, I ain't wallowing in my own self pity over here or anything. I do spend as much time with my family and friends as possible, and I'd do anything for anyone; I'm just that kind of person. I love doing things for other people and making them happy. I have an older brother and sister who are both married, have kids, the whole deal. I just hope I'm fortunate to meet the right one who I know I wanna spend the rest of my life with. I'm not trying to come across like I'm feeling sorry for myself; I've been in love once in my life, and it didn't work out in the long run. I just want to have that feeling of being in love again one day. Not everyone gets to experience true love; it is the greatest thing in the world while it lasts; but if it ends (especially on the other's behalf), it can shred your heart to pieces.

Been there, done that. Just suck it up and move on, things work out, it gets better.

Alternately, get horribly, hilariously drunk with some good friends and have a good time.
