Within the last day I have noticed that the clutch pedal has more play than it did before it engages--it also seems that it is not going into gear as smoothly as it did--is it possible that the fluid may simply be low --I have an 87 jeep cherokee--the clutch was replaced about 30k miles back as was the master cylinder and hoses.
Or am I dealing with repacing the clutch? Thanks |

Had a similar problem on my 1991 Cherokee, I bought it used so I didn't know previous maintenance. I had the master clutch cylinder replaced and that seemed to have solved the problem. ran me about $100 for part. I would check the fluid first to see if that is the problem. My clutch felt "very mushy" but the clutch still engaged properly. Not sure if that is your solution?
