Chevy 350 in a 4 door Oldsmobile?

I just bought a 82 cutlass supreme brougham 4 door, and its got a 3.8 v6, the car is all original, very good condition, but my problem is, when im on the highway over 50, when you want to goa certain speed, it jiggles or pulls, i heard it was the carb, but at the same time i wanted to know if i could a swap a v8 in it? like a 305 or a 350, is it possible? my first time having an oldsmobile, its cool car, just i want it to have more power, so ifigured having a v8 in with some flows would be cool, all you experts let me know what you think.

Cool

I have already done this job . It is not hard. Any Olds V8 will fit . I recomend an early olds rocket 350. I put a 1971 olds rocket in an 86 cutlass it runs great the owner never runs out of power. Just buy two motor mounts for that year V8 it will bolt right in. Do not put headers on the 350 they won't clear the frame in the late body style . Use the complete exhaust manifold and crossover set from an 81-86 307. this combo is a bolt in swap for that wheezing 3.8. Use a 3.73 rearend out of 86-87 monte carlo s.s your olds will then be the ultimate family car.
