integra power question

i just got my 95 integra ls (and yes it has no vtec) got a really good deal on it though. Any way it has this little problem when i stomp the gas it gives it about 1/3 power for about 1-3 secs then it gets up to about 2/3 pwer for about another 4 secs then when i hit arount 55 it gives it the rest of the power. Does anyone know what the problem is? if so please reply i really need to get this shit fixed i lost to a damn 92 buick regal yesterday.

yeah the story about the turbo is pretty funny a freind of mine has a 94 3000gt twin turbo and his left turbo got shot (literally) and the other 2 week old turbo and two intercoolers were useless so he sold them to me for a wopping $450
