Help!!

[Audi_A4]

I have just recently purchased a 98 Audi A4 1.8T w/ quattro. Its my very first car and im totally impressed with it. Anyway, I have noticed that with quattro the A4 seems to be slightly under powered off the line but when the car hits about 30mph you can really feel the A4's power. I would be very interested in any modifications that would allow me to have that extra boost.

Leave it alone,if you add to much boost you'll be changing the turbo after it blows up!!!!!!!!Do your self a favor use synthetic oil!!!!!!!!!!!

Your right about the synthetic oil at least.

Anyway if you buy a chip from GIAC or APR you will gain a whopping 50HP with 45ft/lbs of torque that will rip off the line. This one mod is priced at a reasonable $500 and it is perhaps the best investment you will do.

As far as the turbo blowing up, alot of it has to do with how you take care of the car. If you always stomp on the gas and never warm up or cool off the turbos then you can blow them as early as 50,000k. If you take care of it and use a quality synthetic oil (Amsoil is probably the best) then your turbos will last 100,000 miles easily. When your turbo does blow, just put in K04's or Garret and have 300HP!! that should be fun
