Question How much money do i need?

What's up? I'm new at imports, never owned one till now. Someone told me to get a b16a for my 89 civic si and do some work to it if i want to beat vette's. What kind of work and money am I looking at? Any help would be great! I'm looking at spending $6,500. Thanks!

Be looking to spend about 3g's to get the motor in. And then you can turbo it with the rest of the money you have and spank vettes....maybe.

Hmm b-16, great motor. I like it personally but its a gutless wonder. You could get an ls motor and turbo that. Or a gsr motor and turbo that. Or..., if you want to be a bit different but only go in a straight line.. An h22 and some laughin gas.Well nvm that. Might cost more than you have to spend. Either way any one of those combinations could possibly beat a vette. Remember though they are pretty fast themselves to begin with. Drivers make all the difference inthe world to. Hope you figure out what you want. Have fun.

if your talking non-Z06 vette's then a lightly modded b16 in a hatch would spank them, Z06's however, will prolly require a turbo, or alot of NA mods to keep up with a z06.

I dunno about spanking, thats a little far fetched. My friends b-16 crx was quick. Kept up with a vette, untill about 100 then the STOCK 6spd vette just kept on going ...... His b-16? i/h/e ctr cams vafc and some good tunning. Either way best of luck to you once again and I hope the decision making is easy for ya.
