Advice on CJ7

Looking for a new toy to play with and spotted two CJ7s in the local fish wrap. One is a '78 the other is an '85. Haven't gone to look at them yet but wanted some advice from others on what to look for when buying an older Jeep. I'm not up on the older engines and 'would-be-nice-to-have' items. Can I get some ideas on what to look for and what to let slide by?
Also if there are links to web sites with this info that'll be appreciated as well.
Thanks...Deano

My advise..... buy one... CJ7's are great Rigs... Their aftermarket is massive so you can do pretty much what ever you want. Just check for rust.
