Hi folks. I'm having a strange problem with my 3000GT. It has started a very loud, howling noise that seems to disappear once I get over 65 mph. I just put a new set of tired on the front end and suspect this might be a contributing factor, but it's so damned loud, I am wondering if something else isn't at play here. I've got 96,000 miles on the car.
What does it sound like when wheel bearings are going out? Gary Webb Sacramento, CA |

I know this is unlikely, but make sure those tires were mounted in the right direction on the rims.
Its possible the treads could cause the sound you’re getting. What type of tires are they?
