TEIN drop specs
Can anyone tell me what the specs are for a TEIN set-up for the '99 G20t (how low is it capable of dropping a P11--I assume the ride height is adjustable)? Also, does anyone have a ballpark price for the set-up? Does anyone know of a quality set-up capable of dropping a P11 roughly 2"? Thanks!

The TEINs are $975 from me. It drops the car about 1-1.75inches i believe and the dampening is also adjustable..16way actually!
Let me know if you are interested. several members on this forum already got the last shippment of the TEINs from me and they should all be getting it within a few days. Oh, shipping is included.

OK I finally went and looked it up instead of guessing...
The 3 height settings are... 35MM = 1.378" 45MM = 1.772" 50MM = 1.969" |

1.9, isn't that the same drop as having the intrax's springs? anyone with teins have it set as 1.9? now you get the drop and the ride

Actually Intrax claims 1.75"
I have my Tein's on the second to last setting (45MM) which is 1.772". I can tell the car is lower than when I had the Intrax, even though its so close on paper, that I shouldnt be able to. I think the Intrax dont really lower it 1.75", I think its a little less... |

Do you have a picture of the ride with the drop? I would love to see it.

Thanks for the info. I too would like to see a pic of a '99+ dropped w/TEINS. I've seen Jason's, but I don't think he has it dropped to the full extent (I may be wrong). Also, if I go with the TEIN set-up, I would not want to order it. I would want to find a shop in the Seattle area who would order and install for me. My main problem is, I can't find a shop in the Seattle area who carries TEIN or knows anything about it. I'm probably just not looking hard enough...

Just do it yourself!
I'm hoping to get some Teins as soon as I can gather enough money and I'll be installing it myself. |

The Tein's arent complicated like coilovers. (Not that coilovers are that complicated anyway) |

Thanks for the info. Regardless of the ease of installation, I think I'll have a shop do it. I'd rather have a warranty behind the install than be screwed when I get done and have like three nuts left over...I will seriously consider the TEIN set-up as opposed to Intrax and new Koni's...

Just curious..
Why a 1.7" drop and not a 1.9" drop? Does the 1.9" drop make the G not run smoothly or is it because of possible tire rubbing? I got my TEIN's last night and I will drop it to 1.7" as well. Or do you drop it to 1.9" during the Summer and 1.7" during Fall?

Not sure who you're talking to, but...the difference between the looks of the 1.7 and 1.9 drop is very subtle. And it give you that extra .2" of suspension travel the you'll so badly need.
