Angry SAS 350Z complete with pic

Thought I would start a tread over here too just for shits and giggles. See other thread for a complete whine on my part.

It was painted Euro Red with Orion Silver HOK paint. Details include the SAS body kit (duh?!) wing from Aoshima and rims from Fujimi I think...
Anywhat a crappy build of a car I really love. I wish I could finish a Tamiya kit without fucking up....

I like it esp. the paint job.. did you do it yourself or decals?

I would only use somewhat bigger rims or lower it a bit...

The paint job was done with an airbrush. I hand cut the flame mask for the flames and a friend of mine hand drew the japanese writing.

And tell us again what the problem with it is? That's a great job, I can't find the faults. You don't need to put yourself down, its damn good.

That an excellent piece of work.
I don't see anything wrong with it, except the windows doesn't seem to fit well.

Well thanks all for the great complements!

But it was the hell car from beyond to finish. I put 8 different paint jobs on the car before I came up with this one. Needless to say I was a bit frustrated at this point on my painting skills. Only reason why I didnt strip it again was for the fact the my good friend from Hawaii put the writing on the side.
So you want to know whats wrong with it? Ok heres a list- The gloss blob corection was worse than the blob. I had to sand it down to the plastic and do a repair which when finished resulted in over spray of silver on the red flames. Thinking its had several layers of glaze I tred to clean off the siler with thinner only to find it went thru the glaze also and left streaks thru it. Well I then went back over the area with some glaze and it looks ok, but not to my standards, and the glaze over sprayed in several spots that took several hours to compound out to smooth. After all that the gloss blob area still looked like crap.

Broken parts-both headrests, broke off the SAS parts to many times to count, tail light twice, headlights both.

The body just didnt fit right it had a small lean to the right which for not the lack of trying never could find the problem. The inside of the windows had glue resude from god knows what. The headlights and tail lights were a big pain in the ass to fit and neither set never did fit correctly.

I was so frustrated with the over all bad build by my part and the fact that I had such high hopes for the car that when the headlight broke off from inside after all my pictures and being careful I just snaped.

I guess there are some cars that just not ment to be and this was one of them...

That paint job is just awesome. I don't see anything wrong with it except that the headlight, and the windsheild don't go into too well. Don't be so hard on yourself. It looks awesome.
