I'm looking into a 1.6el and was just wondering when you go buy performance parts for this car like intake or suspension do you just ask for parts from a civic? if yes what year civic would match the 97 el?

all engine parts will fit 96-00 civic si, because its the same engine. exterior most civic parts will fit with some modding

thanks, i was wondering which model civic the el was identical to. i figured it was basically a 4dr civic with the si engine (vtec). i have been trying to find more information on intakes and what not also, but there is very little out there, i think because this car is only available in canada. I am glad I found my el, i was looking at 2 other civics when i found it, the extra features are nice).
