removing the 92 Accord speaker panels

How do you do it? Do I have to take off the whole door panel in order to get to the speaker?

if its an lx then there is a screw under that pannel where the speaker is..if not then ur going ot have to take off the door pannell....

a screw on the corner...2 of them...one inside the door handle...one where the arm rest is. then pop pop. ur done.

Re: removing the 92 Accord speaker panels

the correct way is to take off the door panel, but you may be able to pop it open just enough to get to it. on my old '90 i just bent the panel corner out enough to get the speaker in and out. its plastic and will just go back into place if you dont mess it up too much.

HMm.. my friend's accord has 6 1/2's in the front and back. Does that mean he has an lx or not? I dont think I saw any screws underneath the speaker panel.. but i could be wrong.

yes it does. if it was an ex, it would have 6x9's in the back with 6 1/2's up front.

there are screws holding the speaker to the door under the panel on the front door. the speakers in the back are held in by bolts that screw in through the trunk. the back speakers are very easy to change, whereas the front speakers take an extra couple minutes each.

hehehe...
i have the same problem...
i was trying to remove the door panels to replace my broken window lift motor but just cannot seem to take them off...
my cousin got his off but then he told me it also took breaking his door handles to get them off...
i really don't want to resort to doing that in order to fix my window motor... they say twist is 45 degrees and the door handle should slide through but i can't get it to do that ....
just stumped along with basically a lot of other people...

Re: removing the 92 Accord speaker panels

Very frusturating! I just need to change the speaker and there isnt enough room to get a screw driver in there.
