I just dropped my d16y8 block and d16z6 head off at the machine shop on friday.
cost? $8 per cylinder to hone the block. $20 to check the head for cracks and flatness and clean it $25 to mill the head back to flatness (recommended even if its not warped) total cost (minus the cost of main bearings, rod bearings and head gasket) approx $80 |

for cams gears use a 86-89 integra cam gear... they are a little hard to find though.
