crx head
i have a 91 crx hf and was wondering about putting on a dx head. i think this would give it 30 more horsepower from the spec sheets i saw on the internet. i was also wondering what other head if any, would fit on my hf engine. and also, if the head would work, would i have to replace the timing belt or anything else on my engine to accomodate the new head.

Its debateable whether a 16valve head will fit on the HF block, due to the fact that it doesnt have the extra 2 valve reliefs.
It would be nice if someone with an HF block would bolt on a 16 valve head and turn it over to check and see if the valves hit.. the HF has dometop pistons and if you could get a 16 valve head on it, it would have some mega compression. btw, you dont necessarly *have* to change the timing belt, but it is recommended. |
