Influx of members

Has everyone seen the new influx of users here since that Honda forum expanded so much? I've stopped by the off-topic forum there and a few others. I wonder why there are two of off-topics now instead of merging them together?

They do not want to combine OT forums. They would rather have there own thing.

Well I think we should just let things go and see how things work out I don't think it's that big of deal . If they want it they can have it thats there forums in the Honda/acura I don't think that we really have a say so

I'm one of the new members who came with 3geez.com. I guess it is kind of a seperate but equal type deal. We moved here w/o having any say so in it. We didnt get to vote or any thing. We didnt want to come. our admin just shut down our board so we had to come here. Dont get me wrong I really enjoy AF.com and i'm sure alot of the other guys do too. Personally, i try to interact with every one. I guess they just want to have their "own thing" we were promised to have all the features we had back on ezboard and some... But we are by no means trying to be snobby. thanks for being good to us everyone.

I'm with Jerren on this. I haven't been around forever on the old 3rd gen accord board (I have a 4th gen but these guys are really cool so I always posted too) but the admin guy just shut it down and moved everything over here. It's not that they're/we're snobby, but that was their main board and I think it should be OK to have their own O/T forum, since they mainly only use their section of the board.

Welcome along, guys.

I'm glad that there are more than one OT-s, the "original" one is too big anyway. No biggie.

I actualy think having 3 OTs here is a good thing, as more PH members show up I think we will end with 3 quite differnt OT forums each with its own atmospher and regulars. Kind of like having 3 differnt bars to go hang out in all on the same block, all within easy walking distance. (Or in P-Mans and JD's case stumbling distance)

our whole forum configuration was moved over, including our OT.

the agreement, to my understanding, was that AF was essentially going to be our forum host/server... combined databases, but essentially separate to help meet the needs of Purehonda members. this is not a merger, take over, or coup... Purehonda is it's own separate entity, on the terms of "AF helps out PH and in turn we add more members and exposure to AF" kinda thing.

just the Honda/Acura section is also featured on Purehonda.com... so visitors to the forum will not see the rest of the AF.com categories, therefore justifying the existance of the OT for Purehonda members.

I am the one who moved our board over to this server. EZBOARD, sucks and was a complete rip off. We have been trying to move to our own custom board for months, but the programmer doing it flaked (damn computer programmers :finger: :zx11pissed: ) so this opportunity presented itself and I figured it would be awesome for us.. At the same time, Purehonda was negotiating their own deal with AF. So technically the honda/acura forums are purehonda's forums, but the 3rd gen. accord forum is a seperate forum from purehonda. that is why there are two different offtopic sections in the honda/acura forum.. one in there and another in our forum..
