Talking A/C 1.9 Escort 96 Engine swap

I am pulling out a 1.9 ltr J engine out of a 1996 escort wagon and putting in a 1.9 ltr j 1994 engine from another car.The a/c is in the way, can I move somehow without releasing freon, also safety is a concern.the manuel says to take to a garage to remove but the cars are up on blocks.

Yes it possible to remove the motor with out releasing the freon, I just unbolted the compressor and tied it up out of the way.
