Engine swaps done using auto tranny?

I was just curious as to what some of you did to swap engines using auto trannies. I know one person on this board said something once about putting a ZC engine in their car and then later converted to manual. Then there are others who are doing LS swaps with auto trannies. I just want to know what is done to make the swap work correctly. What auto ECUs can be used to do the swap and do you wire things the same as you would on a 5spd? I would like to go DOHC ZC eventually but I know that requires a new ECU and MPFI wiring.

I heard an Auto B-series wouldn't fit into a EF since the tranny is too big. I can't think of any time I ever heard of anyone doing auto B-series.

I had an auto ZC.. There's still some pics at www.geocities.com/jdmzc
My car was fucked back then.. I was a confused individual.

I've since smartened up and swapped a 5 speed B series.

If you're later thinking about going 5 speed just go with the B16, because you need to replace the tranny anyway, and since it comes with a tranny then all you need is the pedals, linkage, shifter, and a few other small things..

While using your ZC engine did you just use your stock DX ecu? If not which ECU did you use and how hard was the MPFI swap?

I used the auto ZC ECU.

I didn't do the wiring. I don't have a place to do things like that..

The DX tranny lasted about 6 or 7 months before it wouldn't shift gears anymore.
