A handful of my old projects

I've finally gotten around to taking pictures of my older models. They're not all that great. The paint is something I always have had problems with and still do. Yarrrr.... the paint be a tricky thing. The RX-7 was the first time I tried to polish out the finish.... it worked, sort of. The S800 is, well, a box stock Tamiya S800. That was a fun kit to build. The silver S2000 isn't very good at all, and I don't want to post pictures of it since I am making a new one, but I did like the shot of it with it's ancestor.

Here are some more. The Supra is a stock Tamiya Supra, and not a very good one at that. The truck is a AMT C1500 (really the 454SS) that I modified with runningboards and grips and such to match my girlfriend's old truck. The accord wagon is probably the worst model of the bunch, but I think it looks pretty cool and I'm really proud of the Playstation I mounted inside. I would have put in a PS2, but it would have looked really boring.

The blue is actually some Alclad II flip-flop paint, goes from blue to green. Wasn't really impressed with the stuff, actually. It's got very large particles in it, resisted getting shiny, and then doesn't even really change colors very well.

The Playstation was pretty simple, just a peice of plastic card that was the same scale thickness of a PS1, and then I used a hole puncher to cut the little disc door out of some real thin plastic to give it some releif. Glued them together, sanded and carved, and used a sharpie to pick out some details. REALLY simple, but effective.
