Thats so awesome man, thanks a lot for sharing the pics. And welcome to AF. I'm guessing that was by invite only right? And if so what did it take to get an invitation? Thanks again, I wish I had that experience....maybe someday.

Thanks for sharing those. Looks like everyone had a very fun day at the track. Would you mind telling us a bit more about the e-gear? How quick was the shifting in the different modes? Oh yeah, welcome to AF.

..answers to your questions
thanks for questions guys..
yes it was by invite only and not a general public thing. The group isn't exclusive as such, just invitations and word of mouth referrals tend to be the way it works and the limited spots fill up fast. The drivers group I am on list for has steadily been adding special treats and attractions like this for past year or so so just lucky.. I knew the Lamborghini day was coming up so made sure I set aside the day off.. I've been passenger in 360 Modena F1 on same track but not driven so can't compare but chose e-gear to see what a system like this felt like in general. In "Auto" mode it shifted nice and smoothly, not a "track attack" thing but changed gears with what looked like maximum smoothness in mind and did a great job. As to other gear changes I deliberately mixed up the driving including very low revs in 3rd gear coming out of hairpin right up to high revving changes going both up and down and it handled the gear changes as quickly as I flicked the lever with fingertips - it was a simple and quick as that. I didn't select any specific shift track mode, just used the default and it shifted quickly without any interruptions to smoothness at all - very very impressive! There wasn't a *huge* amount of time as *everyone* on the day was lining up for a drive so couldn't experiment with every possible option when it was my turn so just concentrated on a few simple things to get an overall impression. I admit to being a "manual" fan though just because of the feeling I happen to prefer, but if you chose the e-gear you'd have a fantastically capable system at your fingertips. Alex. |

Awesome pics. Thanks.
Check out how cool those old Countachs look. No wonder they kicked ass back when they came out.

Amazing pics there, looks like a lot of regulars attend these track days from looking at previous events and seeing familiar cars and people. Wow so many beautiful exotics to look at and all so varied that it's a pleasure to view the whole album. Thanks a lot for posting these and I am envious of you at getting to drive these beauties!!
(<<< cool smilie)Welcome to AF and I really look forward to any future info and pics you may post in the future.
