Insurance on 60's cars?

Naturally insurance in the 60's was a lot lower then what it is today for a performance vehicle. What is it like today however? Would a 70 Chevelle SS 454 cost as much as a Trans Am, or would it cost around the same as it did the 60's?

I don't know about a chevelle but my firebird was $220+ a month. Where as my fiero (considered a sports car by my insurance) is about the same.

Yup, but my bike is very low, about 43 every month for full coverage with a $200 deductable. Remember I'm only 18 until the 27th and my record is flawed, to say the least.

Antique insurance

Antique insurance is cheap - if you can get it. It is not available in some states (including Hawaii), and usually has a pretty low limit on miles per year (like less than 2,000). For regular insurance, a muscle car costs about as much as any other car, though the comprehensive and collision is usually lower because it usually isn't worth as much.

The cost also depends on the state. In Hawaii, I pay $700 a year for my Buick - with NO comp or collision coverage (just medical and liability). Back in California, my 69 Buick GS cost less than $200 a year for the same coverage. That's just not right.
