do you ever say anything positive, or do you just try to piss everyone off because you are so miserable that making fun of things make you feel better about your pathetic self?

Mako,
My advice would be to get the suspension tuned and such, then drive the car and find its limit before you upgrade it. Learn how much the car has to offer before you add more.

BTW: Ugly Kid John, is that any way to treat a newbie?

ok ok I'm sorry Team Mako, what I meant to say was keep some money aside, because when those rx7's get cranky they cost an arm and a leg to fix.

Ok low cost mods and cars (especially FD's) are an oximoron.

Mako, just get some reliability mods going.
And don't cheap out, that's when you start breaking stuff.

Get the cooling system up to par (radiator, hoses, thermostat, coolant), make sure the oil stays changed and cooled.
Get some good gauges to monitor your engine's functionability
Then get a nice free-flowing-emissions legal exhaust to keep those rotors and turbos happy.

as for ugly kid jon:
fuck off, can a moderator block him from making dumbass remarks, or do I have to personally?
Oh well

Mako, Go here:

http://www.pettitracing.com/Frameset.html

I dont know where your located but this shop is an awseome place to stop by and visit.

I would start with a good boost guage Autometer stuff is O.K. but a Greddy is better.

Get a downpipe and get rid of the pre-cats they cause a lot of unneccessary heat especially on the rear turbo and rotor. Wrap the downpipe with header wrap too. Heat is the enemy. Bonus? A couple more PSI from the turbo's = more HP.

There are some cooling issues with these cars. There is an expansion tank for the radiator its made of plastic and is prone to cracking if it cracks your car WILL overheat and ruin its engine. Petit sells a metal replacement for it.

Do a tune up, plugs wires fuel filter air cleaner, get a regular air cleaner for now you will want to upgrade that too in the near future so dont waste a lot of money now.

Theres more but I am out of time. I'll post more later.

Enjoy your FD they are awesome cars!!

This is from Pettits website and is a really good list of what should be done first if I could add 1 thing it would be to change your oil every 2-3K miles this is very important. If you cannot afford the Pettit premix try to find Amsoil Premix it is very good mix in about 2-3 ounces for every tankful.

Pettit says:

The Following recommendations are intended to keep your car out of the shop and on your favorite road

#1. Always keep up with routine maintenance schedules as outlined in the owner's manual

#2. Upgrade your chassis and engine grounding points. (FREE kit with your first order.)

#3. Replace cooling system plastic air separator (A.S.T), well known for splitting in half with no warning causing massive coolant loss and overheating. Our very popular aluminum upgrade units are always in stock.

#4. Replace that dirty fuel filter!!! Countless premature engine failures are caused by a dirty fuel filter. Don't let this happen to you. Poor fuel quality also contributes to engine failures ALWAYS USE PREMIUM FUEL!!!

#5. Install a turbo boost gauge! This is the only way to be sure the turbos are working properly. We produce several kits. All are easy to install, and come pre-wired with detailed instructions.

#6. Use fuel lubricant. This has been proven to extend engine life at least 30%. See Protek-R for more information.

#7. Get a fire extinguisher!!! A must have for any vehicle...that way you will never need it! Our auto fire extinguisher installs in minutes and looks cool, too.
