Almost died today (story and pics)

Well I took the girly to watch rock crawling today, ya know, this stuff?

Well anyways, we were watching this Jeep make a run.

He was doing great until he started the downhill part of it. This is the pic that I took seconds before he started rolling right towards me

I was hiding behind that little tree and as soon as I saw him rolling right towards me I took off running. Thinking that he would hit that tree and it would break his fall I stood between two other trees. Next thing I know he's coming straight for me again. See the two trees that he landed on? I was standing on the other side of them, right where he's laying in this pic

I was standing right where that door is. This is seconds after it happend, the guy is still in there lol

He missed me by inches. There was another guy that jumped through those two trees to get out of the way, in doing so he tackled me and I scraped up my leg. It was pretty crazy being missed by a half a second.

you have to agree that they're not responsible for running you over, blah blah blah when you get there, so they can't get in trouble for killing you lol

YIKES! Glad you didn't get hurt. That's too close of an encounter for my liking.

I know it sounds obvious, but you have to be incredibly careful where you stand... a brazilian photographer just got killed after being hit by a stock car. the pic is in a paper, the guy is literally flying across the air after being hit by the car

Thats what I was thinking too

I am glad you didn't get squashed - things happen real fast on those steep hills.

yeah, it was pretty funny, the only warning that they gave was when the truck was in a tough position where it could roll they shouted "people on the downside, be prepared for a rollover" or something like that lol

I think "almost died" is a bit alarmist and over the top.

"Stood in wrong place and almost got hit" would have been a better title.

Naa, I like to make things sound worse than they actually are.
