Fan problems....
I have a 2000 beetle and the fans were not working at all. I replaced the fan computer and still nothing....I found that the 14 pin connector was TERRIBLY corroded so I got a new plug and end connectors and spliced all the wires to the new plug. Now the fans work as soon as you start the car. They run the entire time the engine is running, both fans. When you shut off the motor and pull out the key, the fans will continue running until the battery dies(no joke, I actually tried it). Once you disconnect the battery and reconnect it it resets, kinda like a sticky relay, but the car has no relays. What in the world could it be? I had the dealer check it and I apparently wired the connector correctly. This is really bothering me.
