it'd be really expensive, i've never herad of that swap. i dunno why you'd wanna do it though, ae86 owners would flip their shit i think, but oh well. it sounds like a decent idea, but for half the money of the install you could put in a a 16v motor or somethin like that.

ive heard of a few AE86s having this swap and of one with a S2000 engine

the SR20 is gonna be heavier but i bet alot of the weight will be in the tranny so that would help with the distribution and if your gonna spring for a swap like that you might as well get a fiberglass hood i doubt the difference is so big it cant be fixed. as for the cost... get ready to have your knees broken by a loan shark.

you might have more luck on club4ag.net or another AE86 board

hears a link to the site where i saw the swap meggala.com its on the swaps page

A shop in SF (or was it San Jose) have done an SR swap into an AE86.

It's not new in Japan of course.

With good research and resource it's doable. Fabrication has to be done with the mounts and driveshaft but you'll also going to need chassis stiffening. All into accounts, I'd say have 10 g's ready for the undertaking.

Why bother.

You dont need power in a Hachi, but maybe you dont own one or have never driven one, so you wouldnt know.

Any Hachi owner with half a brain(or anyone who bought one not because of that cartoon) will tell you that on the AE86, suspension takes precedence over power.

Or are you doing a show car
