well where u careful when u took the sensor out, cause u might have broken it, this is the first case i have heard of having the CE light come on after a CAI install. try disconnecting the battery terminal and reconnecting it.

As esp already stated. All you have to do is reset the ECU. The sensor on my girls just got unplugged. I plugged that b*tch back in, reset the ECU and no more CEL. OBDII SUCKS!!!!

You can do either. Pull the fuse or unhook the negative on the battery for a while.

u car is probably like mine cause it is a 6th gen, we dont have a fuse for the ecu that i could find, just unhook the battery for like 10 min or so then re hook it up and start the car up and u should be fine.

I was reffering to a 6th gen. My girl has a 99 hatch. I never did the fuse thing but I thought there was one in the 6th. Anyway. I've never had to even reset my ECU.......Like I said OBDII SUCKS

actually u will get some better performance from resetting it because it will sense a change and then the ecu will think that, and i am positive now that the 6th gen does not have a fuse for the ecu.

For simple mods like those a reprogrammed ECU is not at all necessary. OBDI conversion is also not really necessary but I'll tell you that I am damn greatful for my OBDI.

The 6th gen ECU fuse is under the hood called.
F/I EM (engine management) The only reason the check engine light would come on from an intake is if you broke the sensor, unhooked it or did not plug it into the intake.
