Which of these cars is the fastest?

If all of these cars raced in the 1/4 who do you think would be the fastest?

All cars being stock with a good driver:A 1996 mustang cobra,2001 gt 5 speed,1996 trans am ws6 auto,1994 corvette auto?

The corvette is the fastest out of em. 2001 stang is rated at 260HP the 1996 ws6 had the LT1 and so did the Corvette. But the vettes engine is tweaked up alittle so has more HP. 1996 Cobras wernt that great. They didnt have the S/C yet.

Actually if the Vette is an auto then it's not the fastest...

Here's how it goes:
1996 Trans-Am auto: 14.5? about?
1994 Corvette auto: 14.1
2001 Mustang GT: 14.1
1996 Ford Cobra: 14.0

umm actualy that LT1 is the same, take it to the dyno, they rate it differently to keep the vette as their "number 1 car" the vette n the ws6 wud blow out a stang.

Werd. At the street anything can happen. Ive beaten the cars listed before. Take into account driver error, whoever gets the holeshot, traction etc. Things dont usually happen as they suppose to

They werent great? They may not be as powerful as the supercharged Cobra (no duh) but theyve been known to run high 13s stock and mid to low 13s with gears. They do lack low end grunt but the engine makes up for it in the top end (7k revlimiter). 4.10/4.30s really wake up the Modular Cobras.

OK, sounds like the internet spec quoters are at it again.

Listen up. This is from actual track experience, NOT hearsay.

The Vette would easilly take the win with a 13.3- 13.4 ET at ~106mph.

The next would be the LT-1 WS6 Firechicken with an ET of 13.8-13.9 at ~102mph.

The Cobra and GT would finish about the same with ET's of around 14.3-14.4 at ~97mph.

These are results that I have averaged from driving, and watching these cars in their stock trim with various drivers at different tracks.

Uhmm yeah an LT1 vette is not going to run low 13s with a 106 trap. Those times are for a C5.

And if you actually do go to track the 96-98 cobras and 99-04 GTs trap 99-102mph stock. 97mph is what the automatic GTs trap stock, I should know.

Oh well. Different tracks have different times for cars. Elevation and D/A plays a serious role on the cars ETs/Trap.

People forget that a low 14 second car is nothing to sneeze at on the street and if they have a favorite car, it MUST run 13's. Whatever makes you happy I suppose.

Mustang fanatic? I own a Mustang. Ive raced my Mustang. Ive seen friends Mustang run at the track. My car is an auto and traps 97mph stock. My friends 03 GT 5 spd trapped 100mph stock, other friends GT with LTs, X, pullies, timing adjuster and dumped flows traps 104-105mph.

I should know these things being that Ive done it before and was there to see it.
