Hidden-Hitch Trailer Hitches
I want to mount a trailer hitch on my 2002 Xterra 4x4, and I've had great success with the Hidden-Hitch brand in the past.
I'm looking at JC Whitney, and my question is if the Frontier hitch - https://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs...fKc1x7Fm8BmF6s Will fit my Xterra. The Xterra hitch listed that they list there is the round tube hitch - http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/...&storeId=10101 which costs $60 more. I don't need $60 worth of beautiful lines designed to follow my SUV's curves... I need a Class III hitch. Anyone got any preferences/comments/recommendations??? (Will the Frontier hitch just bolt on???) |

I have a 2002 XE and use this round tube style Class III receiver by Draw-Tite. It works great and bolts on very easily. It cost $110, and although you said you are not interested in beautiful contour lines, it does look good on my X.

Make sure you get the frame stiffeners from Skidrow www.skidplates.com
The frame is cut to an L-shape and is very weak at the back of the truck. I had a bend in it, and just knocked it back with a hammer. |
