Re: skyline
It's just a little more than completely nuts/insane...especially for $3300. Under ordinary circumstances, that might barely pay for the motor, let alone the rest of the swap.

Re: skyline
Where did you get that price? Did someone give you that quote? They might not know what they're getting into. For the most part, $3300 or so might pay for an RB26DETT shipped to you. Then you still have to find a compatible transmission.
Well, let's get a little more specific: What Skyline motor are you talking about? If it's an RB, forget about it. If you have an I30/I35, it will be incredibly difficult to put a rwd/awd I6 into a car designed for a fwd V6. The long I6 motor probably won't even fit in the engine bay without some work. I have a Maxima, so I've got some idea of the space you'd be working with. If you want a VQ from a Skyline, why bother? Especially if you have an I35. They are nearly identical. If you have an I30, you can try to swap a US-spec 3.5L in, but even that won't be very easy. In the Skyline forum, someone was asking about doing this to their Camry. It would be a very difficult and expensive job. It wouldn't be much easier with an I30/I35, either.
