OBD II or OBD I
Alright this is probably one of the oldest questions in the book, I know that OBD I has less oxygen sensors and thus is a little easier to deal with when modifying....but is there really a need or an advantage to buying the harness to switch your car over to OBD I from OBD II? thanks again for the infos....just tryin to learn some shee.....

Yes, OBD I is easier to tune, so if you are planning on getting into details it is much easier. But at the same time, it is illegal to backdate emissions equipment, so if you live in cali you could be fuckered.

My ctr is obd2 and has one o2 sensor.

They do this for more fuel....From what ive reasearched OBD1 throws in more fuel then ODB2....correct me if im wrong...

obd1 basically is simple, less emission standards so all it does is turn on when the engine warms up the coolant temp sensor tells it when to n it cycles, there is only 1 o2 sensor n that before the cat..n the check engine light is only set when there is an emissions related prob, obd2 has 2 o2 sensors which means for instance if u take out ur cat light goes on, n there r more sensors added to monitor emissions systems..obd1 is easier to fool when mods r made...obd2 is a lil more trickey to get around, lots of sensors set at certain specs...
