Trouble with service ride light and gas shocks on 02 Yukon denali AWD

I was wondering if I could pick someones brain. I went on vacation with a 8'x16' trailer (with full load) on the back of my 02 Yukon Denali AWD, when we got there I noticed that the saftey chains were dragging the ground and the air ride wasn't working. The rear shocks looked like they were leaking fluid, and it acted like the compressor came on and ran the whole trip and locked up.

Took it to a mechanic and they put gas shocks on it so we could get home, but it tripped the service ride control light, is there a way to make the light stay off and just keep the gas shocks, money is kinda tight right now, to buy air shocks. I heard people say I could put in resistors to fool the system, or maybee unplug the ride height sensors, but I don't know the first place to start with either of these. Where would i find a resistor and what current would be right? Or where could I locate the ride height sensor to try unpluging it? One other thing I thought of, are the front shock going to be affected with trying either of these? I can tell they look like they have a sensor on them but don't know if they are air shocks or not, sorry kinda new to air ride systems. Would appreciate any help you could give?

There is a place in Florida arnott industries.com
They sell self leveling shocks a lot less than factory
and also carry what you need to trick the system.
Since you already put regular shocks on. Let me know.
Hope this helps you Jake_180
