Question 4.0 HO Stroker

Hi,
I have following project in my mind. I do have Jeep Cherokee XJ -92 (Automatic/Selec-Trac) with 4.0L HO engine (243 MPI). IT has +140 K miles behind and I have started gathering parts for my spare engine(new Stroker engine). Now I hope that somebody out there do have some experience or other way acquired know-how above mentioned topic.

I do also have an 258 6-inline engine from Cherokee -80 where I'm going to take that stroker's cranksaft. Then I have an 4.0L (243 TBI) from Wrangler -87 where I'm going to take the engine block (+studs).

So I try to fix together 3-engines and get one ~ 4.6L HO Stroker.

May I repeat a little: Engine block from Wrangler -87 (243 TBI); Cylinder Head + Injection System / electronics + Connecting rods + Pistons + Camsaft from Cherokee XJ -02 (243 HO MPI) and Cranksaft from Cherokee -80 (258)

Now the questions: What problems will I come across? Is there difference with turbine plate/flyweel boltpatterns at Cranksaft's ends between 243/258 engines? What
else? Injection's reaction?

I will do total rebuilding with all available new repalcement or turned parts and with our local automotive machine shop advices. Waiting Your kind help too, because they are "only" mechanics, not Jeep freaks.

Kindest regards,

Hesco makes a 4.7L stroker kit for the 4.0L Block for pretty cheap.

I cant give specifics because Im not familiar with old Jeep Motors. I dont think the cyclinderhead would mate with the older block and the Rods wouldnt match either. The bore is also different in that it is a bit bigger than the 4.0 I think. In the future I plan on going with the Hesco kit since they have already figured everything out so I dont have to mix and match.

BTW- Jeep only made the H.O. Motor config from 91-93, they also had those cool trannies that allowed you to change the shift pattern(Comfort or Sport).

Let Us know how it goes though.
