yzf 600r twitchy throttle like r6????

ok about 2 months ago i bought a yamaha yzf 600r and its a great bike however my question is i've heard that the r6 has a twitchy clutch. now since this was my first bike i haven't had any other experience with other bike throttles but it seems to me that the 600r has the same trait. i didn't have any trouble with it though so i was thinkin about maybe next season gettin a r6 or sooner if a good deal came along but does anybody know if the 600r does have a twitchy throttle too? because if its the same as the r6 then i wouldn't have any problem ridin it. i like the looks of them a lot better and wouldn't mind a small performance boost which i'm sure the r6 has over the 600r plus theres so many more aftermarket parts for the r6 so if anybody can answer my question and help me out i'd appreciate it.

thanx

Trust me, in the money you spend to get the "almighty r6" name, you may as well have just gotten a new can and PC for the bike you've got. The 600r is a JUST FINE Yammi. Hell, it's still HELLA faster than mine, and this is now my 2nd bike. Granted, the r6 is technically the "superior" of the two, as a new rider, you'll NEVER feel the difference. Besides, at least with the 600R you've got something different than everyone else.

I mean dont get me wrong i like my bike but its just hard to find parts for it and really make the back end look good. because after i get a little more ridin under my belt i want to start makin it look good and i dont want to spend a lot of money and still not get it the way i want and i plan on keepin whatever bike i make look good for a long while so i just want to make sure i have the bike i'll be happy with for a while. So if anyone can help me out with some places to check out for parts and what not i'd appreciate it if you'd throw some links at me.

The throttle on mine is fairly twitchy. It rears it's ugly head quite often.

Well, while the motors (99-02 R6) are based on the same design they aren't the same. The R6 has a kick in the pants boost of power at 8 and again at 10,000 RPMs. It's not just a small performance boost. I'm going to look for parts now.

Find a motorcycle scrap yard and swap the whole R6 tail onto your bike. THEN you'll have something sweet.

It can be done, and I've seen it done, but I'm sure it's not the most simple thing in the world or else EVERYONE would have custom bikes like that. You'd have to talk to someone a lil more versed in "customization" to get help.

I would help you find the chrome wheels, too.... but I couldn't find any last time I was looking for an R1. I think he ended up just getting carbon fiber or something.

Chrome rims... http://www.rccomponents.com/sportbike/sport.html
http://www.pm-wheels.com/

Remember that you can polish the rims you have too. I don't know if those companies make wheels that will fit on your 600R if you check with them they should know.
