To all you with 17" Rims . . . ( or who just know )
Im planning on getting some 17"s here pretty soon. Just wondering if theres anything else i should ( or have to ) get to make it work.. I'll need a camber kit, correct ? But what i was really wondering is, if im planning on doing an air system later in the future, would the camber kit still be able to be effective ? Im not too familiar with these , especially using them at same time I know 1 person here has air system,, but not sure what size rims. PS: is there any specific size 17" ? like 17.4 w bla bla ?? And some tire sizes that will prolly work best w/ the 17"s. Thanks for any help

The most common tire size for a 17 is 205/40/17 in my opinion even though im sure u could get like 215/40/17 but im not sure about rubbing or anything like that. I have 205/40/17 with like a 2" drop and the tires don't rub or anything, im happy with them.

yeah i turn all the time and never have a problem with rubbing mine. I have a 4g4d and the clearance is fine with them on turns and all.

well i have 205/40/17 on mine they have a 45 offset and they fit perfect, they scrub the tinyest bit on full lock but other than than nothing, i had to trim about 2mm off the rear arch and it is lowered 40mm

..its all about offset... if you're gonna get an air system...get some wheels with a 45 offset and they'll tuck.. I dont think they'll tuck with a camber kit though.. they'll definitely hit the fender... camber is def. your friend in this situation..

When I had my 17's (w/ 205-40/17's) all I had to do was roll the rear wheels wells slightly. Even with the Skunk's all the way down I would only rub the front fenders if I hit a bump while turning - in other words - rarely.

I've had 15s with 195/50s and they rubbed, and my 16s with 205/40s will tuck right up in my fender well no prob.
