Help!
Do anyone know if and how the security system works on the Oldsmobile Intrigue? I know it has a keyless entry and the security light comes on but I don't have my remote yet. Is there a feature on the remote for this option and how do I use it? |

The Intrigue is equiped with the Passlock theft deterent system.
Passlock works by enabling fuel if a valid key is in the ignition (prevents theft by hot wiring). During normal operation, the SECURITY light stays on for 5 seconds after the key is switched to ignition ON. If the SECURITY light stays on while driving, it is malfunctioning, and needs be checked by the dealer. Passlock is always enabled, regardless of remote activation. The red security button on the remote just sounds the horn intermittently (panic mode). I hope this helps.... |
