Question 98 328i Cruise control not working

My 98 328i Cruise control works but not that well, it seems that when I activate it it works but when I go up a hill (providing resistance) it turns off. Could anyone tell me what this might be so i dont have to go to the dealer...

Wanting to cruise!!!

Lightbulb

I found out the problem!!!! The connector to the Cruise Control Module (under the hood next to the intake) was dirty I cleaned it out and now it works fine!!!
