Fujimi 1/24 - Mercedes SLK AMG - Finished!! (10 pics 640X480)
Ha, to all those who were starting to question if I actually do build models
 Here's another one I've finished. And of course it's a Benz. I started this kit back in December last year, but due to other 'duties' I wasn't able to continue working on it, until recently I put it back on my desk and now it's finished. Kit is Fujimi quality so not something to cheer on, but it has some nice touches here and there too. P-Man did it once and I have sort of the same complaints about the headlamps etc. Colour is a custom mix of Tamiya enamel colours (Metallic lue, clear blue, Silver, White and Black) spray painted and then after a tourough drying, Tamiya compound and wax, which was my first and I'm really pleased with the result. Some paper tissue was used on the seat to represent the fabric and some CF decal was used on the console (like on the real SLK AMG's.) The wheels are done with Alclad II Crome which was my first. So I stripped the kit crome, put on gloss black and then Alclad stuff. Pretty nice actually. Might need some improvement from my side, but it'll be standard procedure from now on.  I also have Tamiya's standard SLK in my pile, but i wanted this one too, because of the different bumpers and side skirts. I picked it up last year at the IPMS UK Nationals for 10 pounds and here it is  Hope you like it.

Slick SLK!
That's a nice model there! Looks almost too good to be a Fujimi!

Nice looking job. I didnt think much of the kit myself, but you have made this look great. Good to see another from you. Keep up the good work.

Great job huudo!
I recently won this kit on ebay, so will expect it soon. I'm gonna turn it into the DTM Pace Car. There was a photo of it in last months issue of Mercedes Enthusiast. Look forward to more of your models.
