More questions about painting
What's better way to paint separate body parts like front bumper
or rear wing? Separately from the body or stick it temporarily to teh body (i.e. with scotch tape) and work on whole body in one time? |

Front bumper and bonnet on. Wings and mirrors off!
Spray the bottom of wings first, then stick it on something (When dry!) and spray the top! |

I agree for the wings and mirrors; it's just too much simpler to paint them separatly to do it any other way.
As for major body components, I would base my decision on whether or not the join between the two model parts repsents a true panel line on the real car. If it is suposed to be a separate piece, I would paint it separately. Not a perfect example, but the pop-up headlights on my NSX were painted separately. |

You want to be able to polish the car as best as you can so the least little bits on the better. Parts that are glued on after painting run the risk of glue melting paint and making a mess of nice paint jobs if you dont line things up correctly..
