Free Stuff Or Stuff You Really Want??

Well I'm hoping to get a full or partial sponsorship through a distribution company. I'm gonna use DC as an example.

Let's say this company deals with DC Sports, Eibach, and Tokico

well you want a DC header, an AEM intake, koni struts and a neuspeed strut tower bar...

this company is planning on giving you the DC header for free or a good price, but they'd also prefer that you get a DC intake, Tokico struts and a DC strut tower bar

Do you get the stuff for a good price on a sponsorship or do you just get the stuff you want at normal price?

My situation actually deals with interior stuff. I'm just using this as an example. I mean of course I'd like my parts for free or at cost, but I also don't want the building of my car to be that influenced by a company

what do you guys think?

like I said, it might not even be free...hopefully...the guy asked me...he's like, "well do you want free stuff, or stuff at cost?" I just told him whatever he thought I deserved...just have to see what happens...that's hella cool that they're even willing to help me out...I made a proposal and brought it to them today...figured it's better than mailing it because it's better to meet them and start building some good rapport.

Just have to see what happens

where do you get in touch with companies like that? Id like to try to get some sort of sponsorship, my car has a lot of potential once aftermarket parts come out.

Hahaha...KamiKaze got told

J/P man You've got a hella new car so you'll just have to wait until the parts come out. The only thing right now I could think of is if you hear about a company that wants to use a '03 accord as a prototype for thier products; body kits, exhaust, hood etc.

The best way to get sponsorships is to just put a s***load of money into your car yourself and go from there. I talked to one guy here in Modesto and he said he spent about $35,000 on his beetle before he got sponsored. He's now in Art N' Motion so he's doing pretty damn good right now.

As for my car, well if you're talking about beauty and the beast, then yeah it's definitely the beast right now. My car is lookin boooooooooty...about to put the stock back tires on so now I'll have side skirts and a back bumper with four stock tires and no front bumper
