I'd say b16A2. What's the JDM equivalent of that engine?

the easiest swap would be the D16Y8 from the ex trim level, but a good choice would be the b16a3 from the 95 del sol, a b16a2 would be harder to swap since they have different OBD's.

True, but if you could figure out how to ork through the OBD differences, you'd be getting a much newer engine with the B16A2 ('99-'00 Si). It wouldn't be that hard, would it? What exactly would you have to do if you were going from OBD1 to OBD2?

I wouldn't recommend it. Though the h22 is a beast of an engine, its sheer size and weight will screw up the weight distribution in your civic. It's a difficult swap becuase of its size. The civic engine bay wasn't built for such a large engine. Refer to the link at the top of the '92+ civic forum for some more info.
