Weird ticking...

Hey guys. I'm new here, and my knowledge of cars is rather limitted, so don't hang me please, haha. But I am having a little problem with my 86 Cutlass Supreme. There is a weird ticking noise coming from the engine. It's an almost brand new engine (only has about 9,000 miles on it), and I just changed the oil and air filter, but this noise was there before I did that. This noise wasn't present a few weeks ago, but one day when I got home from an amusement park I noticed it. Anyone have any suggestons on how to resolve this problem?

Put some belt dressing on the belt... check for something rubbing, lifter could be bad

It's a possibillity that a lifter is ticking or sometimes an exhaust leak will sound like a ticking. Check your exhaust gasket and donuts.
