s15 silvia | 200sx | 240sx
ok. here is my story or progress.
i bought a 1:24 scale model silvia from fujimi. i heard a lot of fujimi that they don't make as good as tamiya(e.g. car sits 2 high etc.) so i bought it for the first time with genuine yellow paint n that was about 3 months ago. i had this plan in my mind that i should make it a little bit different to stock model. a little. then things changed. a lot. i've cut the main body into 5 pieces(including front n rear bumper) n that cost me a deeeeeep cut on my index finger which wouldn't bleeding at least an hour. n that hold me some time back. after cutting is finished, i've extended the body wider. a wide bodykit about 3.5mm i think with styrene strips. n filling holes with filler n sanded it off n repeating this step made quite smoothe surface. front n rear bumper r modified with epoxy putty n cut to the shape that looks cool to me. an intercooler is made n since i dun wanna buy another styrene(expensive!) i myself thought a bit how i could make it shiny n not dodge n i came up with a can^^ a aluminium can. haha. bit dodge but works ok. it is also lowered to the ground as close as 3mm n waiting to be sprayed. i dun wana use air spray gun cos it costs me a lot n no experience. so i'm going to use spray can. my yellow is not going to look ok since it is heavily modified(outside) n thinking gold or pearl sea blue. any idea wot colour will look good on it? i'm sure this forum is full of model-making freaks hehe any idea i should consider? cheers |
