Anyone put a 96-00 center console in their 4th gen?

I've been looking around and I can get a center console with armrest out of a '96 civic for a decent price. the dimensions look identical, just wondering if anyone's tried it

Armrest are overrated. I had one in mine for awhile, wish I would have just left the stock one there, I could fit bigger drinks in my car then.

Lol. the ole' between the seat cupholder.

I saw a 5th gen center piece with cupholder and I was really interested in trying it. But I really just want a crx dash.

Any Honda cupholder will barely be able to handle a 20 oz bottle. Sure cans can be an issue without a cup holder, but I seldom use cans. I prefer the seat and e-brake.

Re: Anyone put a 96-00 center console in their 4th gen?

that's where I stick mine... between the seat and lower console/shift boot area. (I have a CRX dash now... remember)

Frodo, I told you, I have a blue dash from a CRX that you can get, and as soon as I get my next dash, you can even take this one, depending on what you wanna give me for it :P

For the blue one that I have, I'd be more willing to take trades than cash, and we'd each pay for our own shipping.

Offer extends to anyone that wants it.

I'm getting a blue one for my white hatch for free. If I go with the CRX dash in the black car, I will get a black one, but don't know on that one yet. Anyone got a good drivers leather seat for a hatch? I hate leather, but other than the drivers seat the rest are mint.

Re: Anyone put a 96-00 center console in their 4th gen?

I was thinking about swapping my dash out for a '97 GSR... but then again, I like the CRX dash... although I'll probably end up using the GSR cluster.

I'm going to end up modifying the console a bit anyway, since I'm doing a E-brake handle delete... I'm either going to actuate them with a button and actuator on the cable (under the car)... or I'm going to go hydro on them and just get a line locker that will hold the brake pressure on all four or just the backs.

I've always hated the E-brake placement on Hondas... lol

Re: Anyone put a 96-00 center console in their 4th gen?

86-89 (DA) Integra... same places we get most of our 'teg parts.

Take your choice of RS or LS (only two models offered those years) they're both essentially the same... one had more options.

The drivetrain on both (D16A1 DOHC non-Vtec, MPFI, 108 +/- BHP 86-87 BrownTop, 118 +/- BHP 88-89 BlackTop) was more closely related to that of the EV/EW (84-87) Civic.

The engine and transmission from this Integra is NOT a direct swap into your EF Civic... but it can be done with some patience and a lil general knowledge. (Some fab is necessary.) To do a stock swap, it's not really worth it.

These engines are usually mistaken for the ZC engines (DOHC ZC, JDM/EDM only, EF/EG drivetrain.) While they are very similar, there are a few important diffs, which I won't get into here. I will go so far as to say the heads are identical, except the cams... ZC cams are slightly hotter.

I know this seems like rambling, but it should satisfy just about any questions you'd have about "will this fit from an Integra?".
