What does a B16B put down at the wheels?

Has anybody dynoed their ctr engine? Post some dyno charts or let me know how the curve looks and what you maxed out at... thanks.

they should be putting roughly around 155-160hp to the wheels.

What can I do to minimize the loss from flywheel to ground? I'll have an intake and exhaust on her when she's in which probably adds 10hp tops. The ctr header is just as wide, if not wider, than most aftermarket ones so I don't see the need to upgrade that.

you'll need to improve your tranny as well as your motor to see bigger gains hit the street.

That's a given, "improve your motor for more horsepower" but I'm saying how can I take my same amount of horsepower and put it to the asphalt? Or am I just stuck with it because there will always be a transmission and moving parts in between engine and wheels...

sorry, yea you will never be able to get the same HP to the ground as your motor makes at the flywheel.

I wish I had a 92-95 hatch, which are the best looking civics ever in my opinion. So many more parts available for them... oh well in another few years somebody will be saying that about my car because it's older.

I've had it in for -2 days now
It goes in Saturday and it will be able to run mid 14's in the quarter with my intake/exaust. Arguably (as in hundreds of other posts) I'll be able to beat new 2000+ mustang gt's by a little bit. The fastest I'VE ever seen one get in the 1/4 (stock) was a 15.0

hate to bust your bubble but i dont think you will be hitting 14's with your car after the swap. TRUST ME people who tell you there hatch runs 14's with a gsr swap and 13's with a type r swap are the biggest bullshitters in the world. last time i went to LACR there was a guy i met who goes and puts down at least 20 runs a week. he has an EG hatch with a gsr engine. this engine is in perfect condition. he dynoed it at 153hp to the wheels stock so you know its a good engine. he runs low 15's with that setup and he hits almost perfect .5 reaction times every time. the b16b is nice but dont overestimate it. youll end up as disappionted as i was the last time i went to the track. i thought i would hit 13's with my setup. man was i wrong.

dont listenm to edman, he lives wheree its like 120 degrees or something, but a month ago I was at the track and I saw a 5th gen hatch/6th gen headlight swap with a B18C1 with bolt ons and ran a 14.2 on 16" rims. he said he hit 14 fla and 14.1 with the stock litttle 14's.

I cant prove the 14 flat, but I SAW the 14.2 and there was also a white 6th gen civic EX coupe with 17's, and a big guy driving. but he had an ITR swap with bolt ons and he was hittin 14.1's

2000 DX hatch - 2388
1996 EX coupe - 2483

so I believe a good driver with a nice running B18C5 in a hatch can hit 13's especially if it was in my 2108 pound 94 CX hatch.

2483-2108= about 375 pounds, so if you get a 14.1 then drop 375 youd hit about a 13.8-13.9 at least.
