newer 2000+ carrera 4?? goes down

anyone know the horsepower of a newer model carrera 4? i was headed home the other day from work, and got behind a porshe on a 2lane interstate that said carrera 4 on the back, and was a drop top. i merged into the other lane to pass him and, the guy gunned it when i got beside him. before i could downshift he pulled a car, then i got into 3rd and walked him harder than i walk most corvettes. in 3rd i steadily walked passed him gaining speed as i passed, and gaining distance between us very fast. top of 4th it was well beyond over, as i had several bus lengths between us. i didnt know if he let off or what, so i slowed back down and let him have the jump this time, and it resulted in about the same outcome if not worse. got me thinking that these cars must not have very much wheel hp or something. anyone know the whp of these cars? i searched google for a while, but i wasnt sure exactly what car it was i raced. all i know is it was a drop top that said carrera 4.

All Carrera models have the 3.6 liter engine, making 315hp. They are reasonably quick in a straight line, but who wants to drive in a straight line when you're in a Porsche?

Porsches are made for the corners, unlike the Z32

In all fairness, the Z32 is a car made for the highway, more fitting competition would be against a 928 GTS. Try taking on that C4 on a twisty road, and it'll steadily pull away from you. Try to tail it on a dirt road, and it'll eat you alive

BTW, my friend has a TT Z32 we're working on right now, gunning for around 600hp with twin T35s and dual 3" exhaust. I'll still whup it's ass with my ~140hp 924 on a twisty road
