fwd talon tsi Launch

just bought a 95 turbo front wheel drive talon(sold my civic). the car has a ported and clipped big 16g,3" thermal turbo back exhaust, ported o2 housing, ported manifold, 550cc injectors, walboro fuel pump, act2600 clutch jun light weight flywheel. running 19lbs of boost, dynoed at 295 wheel horsepower by pruven performance in milford. i took it to drag day at lebanon valley...tried to launch, broke the axle shifting into second, missed 3rd, and still ran a 14.5. how do I launch this bitch without getting bad wheel hop and spinning? please help.

Prothane motor mounts reduced wheel hop a good bit
and reduce the tire pressure.

as for launching, that really depends on the car, you need to find the "sweet spot". for me its 3000rpms.

My buddy and I installed a set of lowering springs (forget the brand, progress maybe?) and more importantly rear AGXs. Set to full stiff in the rear, traction was massively improved. Where it used to bake the tires through second, after first it hooked up in every gear. I found launching it wasnt that bad, but I never tried at a track so I cant be certain. I believe he got down to 2.1s. FWD cars are all about suspension if you plan to launch well. Suspension is right up there with sticky tires...
