Nice, I like the seats. They look like they have way more padding than mine. And btw the WU8 is the SS option code.

Any SLP options?? There would be a slp sticker on the passenger door listing the items if so.

Auto's are the way of high-powered street/strip cars. Much cheaper to make the tranny strong, much more consistent, and if worked properly, they'll shift faster than any of you ever will in your manual

What year did the air intake on the SS change? I have only seen the engine on my 96 and the air filter is sitting right below the hood scoop, and is visible just buy popping the hood. Anyone know the reason for this change?

CamaroSSboy... love the car. Nice color too. One thing i hate is when all the people knock the car for it being an auto... little do they know that the auto LS1 is just as fast if not faster than some 6spds(given driver error) Ive seen an auto 02 35th LE Convertible SS run a 13.3, and not to mention the Pontiac mag ran their auto T/A CE to a 13.1.

Appearance wise id say the Chrome SS wheels...
I was looking at a 2001 Camaro SS convertible... NBM(NavyBlueMetallic) that had a neutral top and neutral leather... Damn was it sweet... 1 of only 49 built that year... The thing i didnt like about it was that it looked like it was salvaged... Body was scratched... had alot of SLP options that the car no longer had.. And the price was too high for its condition

Its different to you because you have an LT1 now if you meant the LS1 where they changed to the blackwing lid... it was around aug/sep of 2002, I believe.

I was argueing with some guy in a Yahoo chat room who owned a WS6. He said WU8 stood for F-Body equipped with LS1. I orgionally thought WU8 was SS too.. (arguing over internet.. )

Some SLP parts are the wheels which i ordered this past fall. This car orgionally came equipped with the 10-spoke silver wheels. 3 of them were cracked.. so i ordered a pair of chrome 10-spokes.

Arrival of new rims

Heres a pic of my car with old rims when I used to live in PA

Standard SS Options. RAM AIR hood, 3.23 rear end (dont know if thats an SLP option. Option code: GU5), SS Spoiler, SS Badges, SS 17X9 wheels/tires, and HD suspension components.

All of those are standard. Only SLP optioned cars have a SLP sticker on the passenger door listing options like bilstein shocks, auburn rear and aluminum diff cover etc. But the 3.23's are standard on the auto SS
