upper manifold torque specs

Hello,
I need the proper upper manifold torque for a 3800 k engine-96 park avenue.
The service manual calls for 132 inch pounds and rock auto calls for 96 inch pounds. So what spec do I use?
Thanks

Re: upper manifold torque specs

I would say stay with the oe specs, unless there is some redesign in any of the replaced components.

Well, RockAuto isn't known for being reliable with some things. They list non turbo brakes as fitting twin turbo 3000GT's. I've seen the same part from different manufacturers sold there with different specs listed.

I'd stick with OE specs. The overall difference is 3 ft lbs.

Re: upper manifold torque specs

There is GM specks and "Updated" GM specs. Make sure your looking at the updated specs.

I thought the updated specs where tighter then the original.
