S-10 Heater sounds like a B52 trying to take off.
I have a 1999 Siverado. I don't drive it much and we had a lot of snow and started it up and the heater makes a noise like a B52 taking off. As I lower the speed it gets quiter. The lowest speed almost quite. sounds like it's coming from the right side. I can press on the right side housing and it helps to lower the sound.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/771598...posted-public/ The video is from the bottom under the glove compartment.

Replace your blower motor.

Or open it up and pull the rat's nest out of it
My car sat for 6 mths and had a blower wheel completely full of debris from mice...

Re: S-10 Heater sounds like a B52 trying to take off.
I've found that if the blower sounds more like an old L-1011 taking off (you know, the ones with the Rolls-Royce turbojets instead of the P&Ws) it's more likely a nest of voles, not mice. They seem to prefer softer bedding materials, so the sound is somewhat different.
Either way, I'd be pulling the blower and cleaning the debris out of there.

Mine had the evaporator path packed full as well- Took a couple of hours with shop vac adapters to clean..
